Excess normal embryos remain cryopreserved for future Frozen Embryo Transfer (FET) procedures. Having quality excess PGS normal embryos cryopreserved gives you the ability to select the gender of your future children. FET cycles are far less expensive and easier on the patient’s body. FET cycles often result in higher pregnancy rates compared to fresh embryo transfers because the woman’s body has had sufficient time to develop an ideal uterine lining. Frozen embryos are usually viable for at least ten years – perfect for family planning and balancing purposes!

PGS is recommended in conjunction with IVF for some cases where serious sex-linked diseases are of concern to be carried on genetically to a couple’s biological children.
